Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Chicago’s Little Italy, Adam Rivera’s entry into the entertainment industry was sparked by a chance encounter. As a youth in the mid-1980s, Adam was inspired by his neighbor, the late legendary actor Dennis Farina. This early exposure to the mechanics of Hollywood turned into a firsthand education in 1986 when the TV series Crime Story transformed his neighborhood into a living set.
By 1989, Adam’s passion transitioned into professional experience. He was invited to assist on the set of the Academy Award-winning film Backdraft, working alongside Location Manager Michael Malone and Set Decorator Garrett Lewis. "Being surrounded by high-profile professionals like Ron Howard, Kurt Russell, and Jennifer Jason Leigh at such a young age inspired me to pursue the industry at the highest level," Adam recalls. Beyond the director’s chair, Adam is an accomplished Content Creator and Developer with a signature aesthetic. This creative drive is supported by nearly two decades of experience in high-end graphic design. His digital artistry and design work have achieved global visibility, appearing across international marketing campaigns, media platforms, and commercial branding. This unique skill set allows him to oversee the visual DNA of a project from the initial concept sketch to the final frame on screen.
As a developer, Adam excels at identifying emerging trends and translating them into viable media properties. His ability to blend technical graphic precision with narrative storytelling ensures that every project under his supervision is both visually stunning and commercially competitive. Whether he is designing a brand’s global identity or developing a new television concept, his work is defined by a commitment to innovation and professional excellence. In 2007, Adam relocated to Hollywood to formalize his career as a Producer and Director.
Today, he is a versatile force in Los Angeles, known for his strategic expertise in all stages of production-from conceptual writing and planning to high-stakes negotiations that optimize production budgets. As the founder of Ionz Media Group LLC (established in 2008), Adam has built a premier organization spanning music, modeling, and film. Under his leadership, the company-which includes the Ionz.FM and Ionz.TV brands-has evolved from a booking agency into a full-scale management and production powerhouse.
Adam has championed artists who have sold well over 10 million records worldwide, including icons like the late Darryl Pandy and producers Steve Poindexter, DJ Jes of Fresca Recordings and Adonis. With a portfolio of over 40 film and television productions, Adam maintains strong alliances with major U.S. production houses. Whether developing content for the box office or global streaming platforms, Adam Rivera remains dedicated to "The Future of Entertainment," driven by the same adrenaline rush he felt on his doorstep in Chicago decades ago.
